Daddy changed my diaper and this is what I ended up in. Concerning.

Freakishly Fast Five Months
I don't know where the time has gone, but Wee Cadence is already 5 months old!
She's a very sweet girl who is happy most of the time. These days, around 8:30pm, the day goes to hell and she fusses for no reason. Typically she goes to sleep between 9 and 11pm depending on her naps and the activities of the day. Most days, she takes 2 naps that are an hour + and often squeezes in a cat nap when needed.
She's very active right now, not quite sitting up on her own but close to it. She loves rolling on the floor and playing with her toys. She rolls from back to front and cries because she gets stuck on her tummy and hasn't quite figured out how to roll back. When she is on her tummy, she presses her body up like the up dog yoga pose. Very recently, she really started working on her hand eye coordination and will reach for objects and either play with them or gum them, including but not limited to her toys, the beloved giraffes, knuckles that don't belong to her and faces. I also reintroduced binks to her and she's remembered that she loves them, she is picky though and will only take the Nuk brand. So much for the heap of Soothie binks we have.
Cadence has also found her voice, oh crap. She babbles and squeals, screeches, and laughs. The kid is loud.
Still need a shot of her on Dad's lap in the patrol car, but this works for now....
Ever have one of those days when you were doing something and just fell asleep? Cadence appears to have narcolepsy during play time.

Baby's Big Day
3/4/11, at the Crocker's house, Cadence had a big moment, she rolled over! She even had an encore presentation at home before bathtime!
Aside from rolling, Cadence and I enjoyed our traditional "hang out day" with Randi, Landon, and Chase. At least once a month, we head down to Renton to catch up with Randi and the boys and it is so fun to watch the babies interact and as always, being with Randi is so fun and energizing! Today she had a fun idea to have lunch at Ikea! Landon enjoyed lunch with us and then went to Smallworld to play while Randi and the babies and I shopped and discussed the Biggest Loser. (Yeah, we're cool!)
After hours of talking, a corona, and a long drive home, we were able to Skype with Peter and Kelsey. We hadn't Skyped in a while and since they live in California now, they haven't seen Wee's growth in quite some time. Last they saw her was Christmas. It was very entertaining this evening because upon seeing her aunt and uncle, she screamed. I'm not sure if it was seeing unfamiliar faces or hearing their voices amplified, she made quite a sad face and screamed. We thought we'd ease her into Skyping but each time we tried, she'd cry again. Eventually she warmed up as long as Matt or I was holding her. It was pretty funny, we'd use her giraffe toy as a distraction to hold her attention near the computer but she ended up enjoying our Skype session, watching Peter and Kelsey and watching herself, cooing and laughing a bit. She's going through a phase where she's a bit nervous of unfamiliar situations and particularly loud noises, even Matt or I sneezing, blowing our noses, or hearing the rip of velcrow. I guess she's just a sensitive little Wee!!!
Giraffey love! I bought her the matching pillow and large blanket to match her favorite comfort item!
Playing in her bumbo chair with her Sophie giraffe.

Cade's Movie Madness
(To my blog readers who read via their emails, please go to http://www.andermr.blogspot.com/ to view Cade's newest videos!)
Cade loves sitting and getting bounced on our laps.
We're not really giving her solids yet, but its entertaining to watch her with popsicles.
This girl's laugh makes me melt!
